Lots of space, very clean, nice staff

No kettle in the room , not convenient for those who travel with small kids or baby

Perfectly clean. Clean towels every day, even a made up bed every day like in the hotel. Big room, big bathroom, free cosmetics ( shampoo, shower gel), location is great and posh = very safe. Just beside a metro. Overall a very pretty hostel.

It was very noisy in the hotel. Echo from the empty corridor. Random people talking until late hours on benches placed just at the front of rooms. Extremely expensive breakfast option. The day I was arriving someone hacked their system and was sending me links and emails for double payments. They said they were resolving the issue, but it causes me so much stress. They in general sending too many emails, links, looking for a scan of a passport before arrival which is in my opinion very dodgy and unusual. I've never came across such a practice in any hotel around the world. Too many emails, probably 10 emails I have received before my check in. It was ridiculous. Very expensive restaurant downstairs. Smell of cigarettes in the room. Too hot inside the room.

The location is nice. It’s close to the shopping district and to Catalonia square. The building is old and nice.

The rooms are not clean enough, much dust everywhere, there are no flip flops, and there’s sound of water from facilities that doesn’t allow to sleep well.

The location is ideal for exploring much of Barcelona.

I was disappointed that the fun vibe was not as it was in 2014 when the hostel was half the size. The public spaces were taken up by a private group, so inaccessible to us. There used to be events organized to meet other travellers and experience the culture. Other than that, I found it noisy due to sound coming from the window well or other rooms.

It was missing a toilet brush and after showering the floor was wet because the shower door wasn’t properly sealed

The place is located right by the hippest neighborhood in town. They tidy your room every day.

there wasn't even a water cooker in the room for tea. The single beds are a bit narrow and if you might find some trash surprises from previous guests.

Great location. Modern facilities. Nice terrace. Free coffee (from machine). I wouldn't mind staying again.

Noise could be heard from fellow guests in hallway and in room next door early in the morning (sounded like they had just returned from a night out). The shower was on a raised platform. Had slight difficulties getting out as I had nothing sturdy to hold on to. After booking I later received an email informing me of a security incident and to not click on any links in emails/messages. I continued to receive emails and WhatsApp messages asking me to update my details for check in but I wasn't completely sure if they were legitimate (the WhatsApp contact name looked suspicious: "Guest Services"). Upon arrival on the day of check-in, I asked about it but was told that everything had been fixed and no further explanation.

Unpleasant toilet smell comes from the only window that ventilates the room. The toilet is divided with a fast transparent frosted glass from the room and has no ventilation. A Lego gift (worth 10 euros) that may colleague bought for his little son disappeared from the room. We reported it to the reception, where the kind and helpful lady said after a short chat with somebody, that they didn't know anything about it. We bought other new gift for the little boy :)

Comfortable room, clean and quiet (even though it's located on the busy street) Easy check in, we could let our things in the storage room before check in and after checkout for free

Check in time is 15.00 For us personally it was a little late, because we arrived in Barcelona early in the morning

Bedroom facing street which was noisy. Also pillar on room had wire sticking out of it through the plaster and put a hole in my dress. Not happy

Great location!

Feels a bit old but at the same time it’s quirky and has it’s charm.

The location was great. We could easily walk to the main attractions or just get lost in the nearby streets for some good city exploration. Really liked the terrace and the convenience to have a free coffee each morning in a nice atmosphere. Clean rooms. The staff was very polite and friendly, made us feel welcomed 😊

We weren't big fans of the double mattress bed, but I guess that's a matter of personal comfort taste. The shower drain was a bit smelly. Again, only a matter of personal taste, but the breakfast options seemed a bit limited.(although you had the good option of using the kitchen to prepare your own)

Some staff cleaning in the kitchen was not nice and kind.

The venue is wonderful, for a hostel it offers literally everything you need, it's very beautiful inside, there's a nice restaurant, and a great space to chill, actually many great places to chill.

The air-conditioning in the room was extremely hot. I slept in a t-shirt and was sweating, that was really uncomfortable and unsustainable.

The location is great and the room is clean. A big plus for the cooking facility.

However, our room's light is too dim with a widow open to the windows of other rooms with no natural light. The mattresses are bad.

the towels were not clean. Although we left the towels on the floor (according to the instruction towels on the floor had to be changed), we found the same towels were folded by the staff. The coffee machine didn’t work properly at all. The room wasn’t also clean and there were many stains on the walls.
