Hotel W, Barcelona

Great views off surroundings.

Room was very hot due to cooling system failure. Asked to be moved to new room after not being able to sleep comfortably in room. Some debris on carpeting noticed after check-in. Elevators very dimly lit making it challenging to use the elevator card control.

We had room just above the bar outside so it was noisy till late hours

Lovely hotel rooms with an amazing view, lovely staff who was willing to to the extra mile with no fuss. Pools lovely with comfortable beds. Food was good.

There was an issue when arriving with booking.com not communicating with the hotel but was resolved within 4 hours. During this time the hotel was giving us free drinks and making sure they where doing their best to resolve it.

Rooms were both clean, staff were very good

we got charged for the use of the mini bar that we didn't touch, I emailed the Hotel with no response we were in room 302 and my friends were in 308, very disappointing. plus the food for breakfast was very Average at best

When there are business meetings, the normal flow of breakfast is disturbed and they lose their premium service…

Great restaurants and near the beach.

The place should be updated. For a w I expected the pool and the lounges to be more kept and new. The beds are also worn and It kept creeking when we got into them.

Food was low quality Breakfast food was bland Steak at Fire restaurant was bad Given the prove the quality of the food was a disappointment The smell on floor 23 was bad

Room was very good, excellent view and facilities excellent within the room. Breakfast was good but expensive and to have to pay for each cup of coffee, which sometimes was cool to cold is rather mean. The bar was lovely but service could be slow and it took ages to get four drinks at one point.

The lifts. They were badly lit, need more light over the controls as not easy to find your floor number.

Service

Several of the staff were exceptionally helpful. The rooms have incredible views.

There was an issue from Booking.com. I had reserved rooms with breakfast included, but somehow this did not translate from what I was trying to book to the actual details sent to W or to my email. I am not sure how it was removed, but it created an issue the first morning, and resulted in additional charges. The noise level in this place between midnight and 5 a.m. make it more of a place for young people looking to party. It's not the most family friendly environment as a result. For the incredible amount of money spent to stay here, these were two challenges I thought could have been done without.

The property is in a great location and has amazing facilities. The rooms are incredible and have an amazing view of Barcelona beach. The staff were friendly and accommodating to all of our needs.

This is our 4th stay and we really love it Views of the city from the room are fabulous. Location is great and most staff are great.

It isn’t as attentive as it used to be. Check in and out is a queue, nobody to meet you from the taxi- nobody to call a taxi. On our first stay the gin and tonic were in bowl glasses with curls of cucumber etc - this stay was a plastic tumbler with ice - no finesse Nobody took bags to the room as a matter of expectation. On our first visit, staff were stationed by doors to open them and welcome you - that’s gone.

The views from the rooms are great. Concierge helpful.

The location is remote and taxis are the only way to go and explore so it gets costly. Pool staff on upper deck very average and slow customer service. Sun disappears about 3pm as it is blocked by hotel. Buffet breakfast average and not worth it. Try a la carte for cheaper option. Beds not super comfortable. We had a WOW room and nothing really wow about it. I’ve stayed at a few Ws and they were better.

room was a bit dissappointing the bathroom and toilet faciltys were strange that the toilet was seperate location and basin was in the room itself This aside the view was amazing The hotel corridor smelt badly of cannabis, breakfast was very different that the offerings were strange but staff were very pleasant

Room and view was incredible. The sunday wet deck party was fun. The staff were helpful and efficient with booking.

Constant loud pumping eurotrash disco muzak, especially around the pool and in the bars. Completely kills all conversations, ability to read, relax, etc.

The view is nice in the hotel ONLY If a sea view room is booked otherwise the view is AC generators. If you have a sea view room then the view is beautiful. The lobby and the overall ambiance is also nice but it is starting to get a bit outdated and overused.

The A/C is not working all around the hotel, it's hot in the summer if you have allergies get your allergy pills ready. A/C needs maintenance overall it does not cool properly. The rooms are over used you can smell the carpets. Staff are mostly all impatient and are not very friendly. Very long check in and check out queues. Almost impossible to get a taxi in the night Time. The hotel is a bit further away from the city so expect to walk when the taxis are not available. Overall this hotel is not what it was back before 2020. It needs a complete renovation/staff training. a solid 7/10 experience.

Impressing location and position. Stunning views from the room. Afternoon & evening walking on the beach is exceptional. Check in/out was fast.

The food served doesn't reflect the venue's worth. In-room items for sale felt unnecessary and cheap, like paying 35 euro to keep the liquid hand soap or 50 for the wooden hanger (!)

You need to uptade the bedrooms

The facilities of the hotel are great, you really have everything there.

At check they didn’t give us to much information and later the last night they blocked our key for the room without informing anything.

There is a good energy , a good vibe in this hotel , it’s a young environment , located right by the beach , a good gym , rooms are comfy especially the bed , one of the best beds I slept on ever , the customer service is great !

Some of the guests are a bit trashy , I found a guy sleeping on the floor right outside my door , saying this they have a good Securty tema and they do an excellent job ready to intervene in any situation. Food is not great !
