Hotel The Grand Daddy Airstream Trailer Park, Cape Town

The hotel entrance, the lift, restaurant, roof area and caravans - A centrally located hotel was bars and restaurants close by

The first airstream we were offered was too small and located next to the Sky bar, the next one wasn’t much bigger but did have a small inside bathroom - I think the biggest issues were there was no entertainment on the roof other than background music from the bar, no DJ or film night

The staff were lovely, the rooftop bar is great, bed big and comfortable, nice breakfast. Decent value for money.

The hotel is a bit dated and grubby, for example leaking shower door, unwieldy furniture, loud humming minibar..that kind of thing. Not enough to put us off staying again, but it’s really not on par with other 4* hotels.

Great friendly staff, they were very helpfull with the booking of a late check out and organising airport transfer! The room was spacious and clean. The location is super central, however longstreet isn't the safest place in the (weekend) evenings so should be considered. The rooftop bar is great for drinks, we didn't join the cinema but it looks really nice. During out stay they were in the middle of renovating the first floor but the first results looked creative for sure!

Could have more outlets for phone charging by the bed. On the breakfast there is room for improvement: the pastry was pretty dry and what we wanted to order was not available for 2 out of 3 times.

Different as we stayed in one of the air streams a great unique experience. Two nights was enough as cosy as you would expect. Bed was very comfortable. The staff where very helpful and friendly. Not to fate from the waterfront and easy and cheap to get around using Ubers.

Perfect location, fantastic breakfast, and an amazing staff made my stay in Cape Town City unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was excellent!

The location was very convenient - right in the heart of City Bowl and walking distance to the waterfront. The hotel is really cute and funky. The rooms were clean and comfortable and functional but pretty sparse. This is not luxury hotel! However, the very cool rooftop bar/patio made up for it. It has a great vibe. The restaurant downstairs was really good and the staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay there again for sure. It's a little gem.

We arrived late at night and although the location is very convenient if you wanna walk around, it isn’t the safest at night.

This hotel is truly outstanding. The rooms are not only comfortable but also tastefully decorated. The staff and management are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the breakfast meets a correct standard.

However, there is one caveat to be aware of: avoid booking a room that faces the street. Across the street, there is a bar that plays loud music well into the night. Initially, this caused us sleepless nights, but the management promptly relocated us to a room at the rear, resolving the issue. Their swift action and commitment to guest satisfaction earned them a well-deserved five-star rating.

Bathtub was damaged inside, made it look dirty. Little noisy from the streets. A lot of pubs and clubs around playing loud music until 3:00

The staff is excellent and loved their little restaurant. The food and chai lattes were fabulous, breakfast was included in the lodging.The rooftop bar is funky and fun. Across the street from the red and blue bus tours. Nice souvenir shop at the corner.

Loud music is playing on the next block till 3 a.m. from a local club... I mean loud !!! If we go back for a vacation I definitely would book a room on the opposite side of the hotel.
