Luxury at it's best
The accommodation exceeded my expectations. The premier rooms were very spacious, luxurious and well equipped. The staff was very friendly and professional. We also had a great dinner at Tryn restaurant with a great variety to choose from. Thank you for a memorable time.

Lovely!
Space. Garden, rooms, golf course, Close to Constantia and Cape Town. Very pleasant environment!
The restaurant is a bit limited. Some simple courses for residents would be nice.

Location and area are amazing!
Breakfast is delicious.
Family rooms are great but if you can’t afford to book it, be ready that small rooms could disappoint you - they are very modest, small and noisy.
Personal could be better trained.

So good that we wish to return for another visit, longer than these five days.
We had expected to use the spa but were content with the pool and dining.
The pool reflects the exceptional attention to modern design which enhances this beautiful historic property.
Staff were unfailingly kind and welcoming.
The food was wonderful.

Wonderful Stay
World class amenities; the hotel, the room, restaurants, tasting room, golf course and vineyards. The hotel and its amenities are in pristine condition.
The staff could be a bit warmer and pleasant. We discovered late in our trip that there were amenities we were not told about and did not visit. It was nonetheless a wonderful stay.

An exceptional hotel and spa.
The Steenberg far exceeded our expectations. From the moment of our arrival to the moment we left, was fantastic. The two restaurants were both exceptional and great value, but it was the staff that made it for us. Would highly recommend and hope to return one day.

Beautiful property and great Bistro.
The property was beautiful with stunning vineyards and countryside around. We really enjoyed the Bistro and ate there 3 out of 3 nights. We had a Junior suite which was very comfortable. General staff were also very friendly and helpful.
The noisy geese early in the mornings though this happens quite a lot in SA countryside and can't be helped !
We were not impressed with the main restaurant Tryna at breakfast where we found so many staff all asking how we were at the expense of taking orders and bringing our food. We had to ask twice to be more speedy with our breakfast as we had taxis coming for us and it was taking up to an hour to be served food even when there were very few other guests there. This put us off dining there in the evenings, though we loved the Bistro anyway and preferred this more casual option where service, food and drinks in the early evening around the pools were really enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

Lovely relaxing getaway in a stunning setting.
The rooms and food was great.
The spa - there wasn’t any spa facilities like a sauna or a steam room or a heated pool which would have been great. The locker rooms and showers in the spa can also do with an upgrade.
Massages were lovely, just missed the facilities.
