Staypineapple at The Alise Hotel, Chicago

The hotel is extremely well located. Close to Chicago's main tourist attractions. It is located on a street with several shopping options and in front of a shopping center that gives access to Pedway (very important during the harsh winter period). The hotel is also next to the metro station. The hotel restaurant is very good and cozy.

The room is small and the double bed is not comfortable and too small for a couple. Despite being a room with two (small) double beds, it can accommodate only two people reasonably comfortably.

Continuous noise from heat staying on, though it did a good job of keep street noice down a lot. I felt the cost a was too high.. did not know there was no microwave in the rooms so couldn’t heat up food. Really don’t like paying an extra $20 for resort fee per day for a couple bottles of water and a couple coffee pods. Rooms are already so expensive.

First the staff were really nice and knowledgeable. They were very helpful as well. The room was very nice and the bed was amazing comfortable. The decor throughout was very nice.

No microwave was my only complaint.

The location was superior! We could walk or catch transit everywhere we wanted to go.

I’m not a big fan of the featherbeds.

Nice ambience and the room layout was great. Really liked the bar/seating near the lobby to enjoy a drink. Bar staff were lovely.

Could never get the TV to work properly. The bar closes early? Sometimes it’s nice to have somewhere in the hotel for a late night drink. But that’s a minor thing.

The location is stunning. Everything is walkable. The hotel has a very cute bar… the room are amazing… though this time i just had an issue as the bathroom was very small…we have been staying here since the last 4 years everytime we are in Chicago.

The beds are too soft and i hoped if they would give a double comforter instead of single ones

The bed was so comfortable, the window had great views of the Chicago theater, it was walking distance to all of the things to do and see in downtown, and I loved the stuffed dog on the bed. Also the historic features of the hotel were stunning, down to the real door key.

I always prefer a hotel with breakfast included, but the restaurant on site was wonderful when I dined in for dinner. I ate out anyway for breakfast but I love the option to roll out of bed for a hot breakfast

Convenience. We attend Christkindlmarket every year and it’s just a block away. Macy’s is right across the street.

Location is a big plus, convieniently accesible by blue train coming form the O'hare airport. Everything is nearby, millenium park, shopping and bus stops are around to easy access Navy Pier and 360 Chicago also walking distance to Wilis Tower for skydeck experience. Bed was suuuper comfy!!!

A good bit of noise coming form the L train line which is very is very close but this is not hotel fault. Heating vent directly over the bed was uncomfortable to sleep with hot air and room was too cold when the heat was off. No kettle in the room.

Property was great and location was excellent. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Walkable to all kinds of city attractions. Parking was smooth with Valet for additional price of $75

I was traveling for work and the work area in room was a bit cramped and given the age of the building, plugs and more extension outlets would have been helpful. Also, the lighting in the rooms was very sparse which could possibly be improved with LED or more lights in corners. Also, the doors separating the bedroom from the living room/area did not close properly and perhaps a sliding barn type door would provide more room and work better. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

Host at restaurant..very rude and discourteous.

I love all the niceties related to pineapples. The pineapple water and touches in the room. Free bottled water and tea/coffee upon request is a nice touch. A complimentary beverage was very nice! No one told us at check-in about the cookies after 4, so we missed out. The location is outstanding for shopping and being near the the theatre district. christkindlmarket at Daley Plaza was so conveniently close, as is MilleniumPark and the ice skating rink. The room was small but nice. Love the robes and cute coffee mugs. A decent view of downtown. seems that all views face north. Our toilet holder was broken and kept falling off. I forgot to tell anyone. A minor issue. Thanks for having a mat for the tub/shower. The mat appeared to be very clean, too. The bed was comfortable. We did not have time to check out the TV, but the wifi seemed to work well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They will hold luggage for you. We were able to check in early, as well. That was a convenient plus. Check out is at noon.

The walls aren’t soundproof enough to block out some really noisy neighbors. I was awoken after four hours by loud pounding or stomping. Earlier, kids were screaming in the hall, banged on our door, and later when we went to leave, we noticed they took our do not disturb sign. The only complaint I can say about the room set up is there should be a desk lamp. There was only one light on one side of the bed. Room 205.

The Hotel is the closest to Macy's Walnut Room and easy to walk to.

There Hardly no lighting on bedside and very Dark.

Amazing location, sensational beds, loved the suite with seperate room, nice building in general

Was a little noisy as could hear the train when it started up early on a morning (not a problem for me but could be for others), bathroom small and not in keeping with the grandeur with the rest of the suite, TV choices not extensive…but nitpicking as positives far outweigh any negatives

Loved everything the location, the bedding, the bar, the staff, the bikes!
