The Hoxton Hotel, London

The Hotel itself is very nice, and the lounge/bar are clearly very popular in Shoreditch. A very "cool" place to stay

surprisingly quieter than we initially thought as the music downstairs is so loud- buzzing atmosphere nevertheless. small clean room. great location and great staff. the facilities are extremely basic but if you’re just looking for a clean shower and bed to stay in then it’s a great option.

room: clean location: ok, nice breakfast: ok we'd liked the roof terrace & restaurant very much - people were very nice to book a table for us although it was quite crowdy - tx for that

room: normal & clean - however hairdryer would be nice to be able to use the hairdryer IN bathroom with mirror - sitting on the bed with the dryer wasn't comfortable WIFI: slow location, clean but far from centre - needed taxi - however, we knew that up front

Very bad noise isolation with room next door (our twin room must have been intended for a family room with door to our neighbours’ room which happened to be occupied by loud people)

The propery was terrific. The one thing that stood out above all else though, was the amazing staff!! I was there the 29th, 30th, and 31st of October and the girls that worked the day shift those days at the check in desk were SO helpful!! They truly did make my stay so pleasurable!

Service at check in was brilliant- staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was nice, good shower. Great bar and fantastic location.

The room has a slightly off putting smell when we first entered it.

Just what you expect from a Houston Hotel. Good location in a buzzy area of London. Friendly & helpful reception staff. Small room, but adequate for a 1 night stay. Great atmosphere in the large lobby / bar/restaurant area.

Rooms were nicely decorated and staff were very helpful.

It was boiling... couldn't open the windows as it stunk outside and the Air con didn't work... there was no circulation so made for a quite uncomfortable night. couldn't get room service as kitchen was shut...

Decor was beautiful. The room was lovely and so comfortable. Great location also. Staff in reception was really lovely.

The restaurant is not good. Poorly managed with inattentive staff. The food arrived cool and at different times. I had my dinner finished before the other main course arrived. Food was ridiculously overpriced.

Service was slow at the grill and bar . I was disappointed the water and tea / coffee was not replenished during our stay as this was our experience in another Hoxton hotel .

The reception! Especially Angelica. What lovely service. They were happy to keep my luggage even though I wasn’t returning to the hotel. Rooms are quite comfortable and the small desk area is so cute.

The lobby is extremely busy and happening. It doesn’t affect the noise level in the rooms but it was hard to find a place to sit for my duration there.

Gorgeous room. Excellent value.

The use of the bar/restaurant by numerous non-guests for hours (nursing one drink in many cases!) made it difficult to find a spot to work comfortably in the lounge areas.

The room was excellent and the restaurant had a great menu and served good food. Staff throughout the hotel were helpful and courteous and were present without being in-your-face. We ordered the mini breakfast and it came on time and was perfectly adequate - some orange juice, an apple and a fresh croissant. Good value for money actually.

There's nothing really to dislike about this hotel. I suppose the only thing was that daily cleaning was -on-demand, rather than done automatically which meant one ran out of coffee and milk and there was no clear indication one could ask for more at reception - although it turns out water, coffee etc was all available if you ask. So I think the hotel does itself a disservice by not mentioning at check-in that if you run out of 'stuff' just ask because it won't automatically be done.
