Riad Lamzia, Marrakech

The Riad is really beautiful, traditionnal and also confortable. It is perfectly located, just inside the Medina, next to the main souk aisles. Mohammed, the night guardian was soooo nice and helpfull, many thanks to him :) Breakfeast is really good in a wonderful environment !

Water was not always hot in the shower but the weather was so hot it was not really a problem !

I loved the breakfast it was simple and healthy and the staff was friendly , such a lovely and a quite place to stay in .

I love how authentic it was and it felt like I was in a Moroccan home which made us feel comfortable.

the hotel is quite noisy as you can hear other guests quite well from the rooms if they are in the hallways or talking in the main room at breakfast for example. the breakfast was not that good either. would also be nice if the bathroom was actually closed off from the bedroom, now it is just half a wall and the top part is open.

Very good place, staff is very friendly and helpful, location is excellent in the Medina, great value for money! will definitely come back.

Some rooms have a plumbing problem in the bathroom, which means they smell a bit weird. management could replace the system.

Overall a really good experience of staying at the riad. The host Mohammed was very welcoming starting from the check-in, he welcomed us with traditional tea and showed us the main attractions of the city on the map. Breakfast was slightly different every day and very quick to be served, also really delicious. Mohammed answered all of our questions and was very attentive, when we asked for an extra tea once in the evening, he served it to us on the rooftop, which was really nice and romantic. We often used the pool on the rooftop, it’s not crowded and the water is really warm in the afternoon. Our room was clean and spacious, with good AC and a comfortable bed. The location of the Riad is perfect, really close to the main square, there are a lot of tourists around so you could blend in with the crowd.

The riad is small, which makes the interaction with stuff personal, but unfortunately you could hear you neighbors going in and out of the riad, chatting in the main area, you could hear cooking etc. It didn’t really bother us, we got used to it. What could be improved is giving guests a key to the front door, so we would not have to bother hosts with calling/knocking on the door every time we have to go inside the hotel.

Very nice riad, and the location is just perfect, if you wish to stay in the Medina and close to Djemaa-el-Fna. The breakfast was gvery good. Staff very friendly and always available. It has a nice roof terrace.

Like most of the riads, the house is rather noisy, due to its architecture. You can literally hear everything that's going on in the other rooms, like people talking, snoring, using the toilet, etc.

Absolutely fantastic Riad. The staff were lovely and super helpful. I was greeted with mint tea and cookies and a lovely chat with the staff about the area and some recommendations of places to visit. Breakfast was great and the riad in a great central spot but tucked away enough not be be noisy.

I cannot think of anything they can improve on.

We enjoyed staying at Riad Lamzia. The accomodations are lovely, and comfortable. The staff are fantastic, and really go above and beyond! We enjoyed the rooftop patio, and the location of the riad.

The location was perfect, it was just 7 minutes from the main square and located on a quiet street just off a busy street full of food stalls and street food. The riad itself was really quiet and peaceful. The staff could not have been sweeter and more helpful, they helped us plan our stay and made us feel really welcome. The building is very pretty and the terrace is lovely, a quiet place to hang out with a small cold water pool/jacuzzi to cool off. The breakfast was great, it was a continental style breakfast with local bread, pancake pastries, jams and butter, tea or coffee and boiled eggs. It was a lot of food and very fresh. The room was clean and airy, the bed was nice and firm. I would really recommend staying here, the value for money is great.

My only critique would be that sound carries in the riad at night since it's a big open space all the way to the roof, with rooms behind wooden doors circling the open space on each floor. So you can hear other people chatting downstairs/opening and closing their doors. But this didn't bother me too much.

Sound isolation doesn’t exist, we can hear people from other rooms if they are speaking loudly.

Hosts were amazing and very friendly, we felt welcomed the moment we stepped in. Rooms were nice and comfortable and the riad itself is beautiful. Breakfast was also good with different varieties, totally recommend it!

The property was really nice & interesting. Situated in the heart of the Medina. Great staff. Especially Mohamed. He was really welcoming & made you feel like you are home. the breakfast was good.
