Hotel The Peabody, Memphis

It is a grand old hotel. Rooms were spacious and a great lobby to sit and have a drink. And those wonderful ducks were simply great to say. The restaurant was great for breakfast, and all employees were extremely friendly.

There were signs on the exterior doors that informed customers of when the doors would be locked. Don’t pay any attention to those signs. The doors are always locked. One evening at about 8 PM I had to call security to come to the door on BB King street to let me in. The operator kept telling me to walk all the way around the hotel to come into the entrance that way. It was raining and the person with me had limited mobility. I had to insist that security come to the door to let us in. They did so but didn’t seem happy about going out of their way. Hotel needs to fix this.

Ambience was amazing! Bed was super comfy. We loved being upgraded to floor 12 with Son. It made us feel very special. Kenon was fabulous along with Javiya, Joanne , Jacquline, and Chef making the omelettes. Special thanks to all of them. Location fabulous. It was just a wonderful 4 nights.

We were disappointed that the ducks weren't able to see the ducks enter the fountain due to renovations. It was the main reason we booked 'The Peabody'. But we understand that maintainence is required during the off season, which is when we were there.

classic historic hotel

Beautiful lobby/bar area. A grand Old Hotel.

The distance from the self parking to reception is a bit of a walk - fine for me but maybe no so much for others.

This historic hotel was very grand and beautiful. The location in the heart of downtown Mempis and two blocks away from the Blues clubs of Beale Street, was ideal. Lounging in the lobby bar, browsing the attached shops, and watching the duck march were all amazing! We had room service dinners both nights we were there because we had our little Yorkie dog with us. These dinners were excellent.

The lobby bar and fountain were in the midst of renovation, so we weren't able to appreciate the full experience of the Peabody Hotel. I'm sure that when these are finished, the area will be even better. Our room was very small, especially the bathroom, and I didn't find the pillows to be very comfortable or supportive, though the bed was.

Beautiful property with great service

I love everything about this hotel. It is very clean, rooms are spacious, most comfortable beds. The hotel lobby is fabulous. Best hotel I've stayed in.

Lack of room service / in-dining for a large part of the week

This was a splurge for us but definitely worth it. Such a beautiful hotel and a great atmosphere. Also close to fun things to do.

They need to improve the cleaning of the bathtub, i found some hairs in there

Breakfast was great. My meals were all very good. The location was excellent and I could walk to many local attractions. I loved the historic feel of the Peabody and its decor and charm. Those happy Peabody ducks were fun to watch splashing in the fountain. I also enjoyed shopping in the stores on location.

Check in wasn't as smooth as I am used to. It all ended up okay.
