Room Mate Lord Balfour Hotel, Miami

The hotel, both the bedrooms and the common spaces, were gorgeous! And the bed was super comfortable, we did really have everything we needed in the bedroom. Also, an added bonus, that we could use the beach chairs for free in the beach.

Great location, close to the beach, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, and the air conditioning worked really well. Loved the space on the beach with a beach chair and umbrella. Good breakfast.

The refrigerator didn't work, very small bathroom, thin walls so we could hear everything in the next room, and saw about 3 roaches in the bathroom

Great location in a quiet part of Ocean Drive, still few yards from the bustle and right next to the beach. What a lovely and helpful staff, David in the restaurant and Zen behind the desk made our stay great. So sweet and helpfull. But really all round everything and everyone was superb.

The room had only one hook in the bathroom for towel. No drying rack. It was problematic once we came from the beach , nowhere to hang wet towels or bathing suits.

The front desk staff ( I didn’t catch their names) but wish I did …were absolutely delightful! The nicest people I’ve ever met in a hotel and I stay in a lot. Welcomed with a sangria cocktail. The room decor was fabulous and a great location

Walls are a bit thin so we could sometimes hear our neighbours but it wasn't a big issue at all.

We got very surprised with the quality of this accommodation. To begin with the location couldn't be better as it is at the part of ocean drive that is not busy while being close to the beach and walking distance to shops, restaurants and public transportation. The hotel looked great from entrance to the room. We were a bit concerned about the room given some reviews we read about it smelling mold or being old, but for our surprise it was beautiful and everything looked great (without the bad smell). I have a picky wife and can tell you she was very pleased with it and even wants to go back there once we visit Miami again. Other amenities were great: riding a bike for free for 2 hours - you get the bike in the hotel; the beach chair was great - very clean and not too busy area. Overall very satisfied with the experience.

The bathroom tap had a problem and only the hot water worked, making it a bit annoying sometimes but fine for the 2 nights we stayed. We did not inform the hotel as it was a minor problem for us.

The staff is great. Delson and the young lady at the bar were great - always with a smile and always helpful. Front desk was attentive and plesant. The location just below 5th makes it a quiet getaway just steps from everthing you expect at South Beach. Has a great front porch and lobby which is not the norm in many of the SB hotels.

They need to change their cleaning supplies - has a stong fragrance that can be too strong. Also, when I go back next time I wil bring my own bar of soap. Their body wash is way too strong as well as the dispenser is "very difficult"

Aaron in reception was most gracious and very helpful. Great check-in and comfy rooms/ bed, great location. Beach is 2 mn walk and the hotel provides towels and umbrellas at the beach. Should be mentioned during booking process that property holds 100 $/ day on your credit card, which can sum up quickly should one have a long stay.

Location was great!! Close to main attractions and right across the street from the Beach!!

Love the pool, the location was nice and quiet but walking distance to lots of shops/places to eat, 2 minute walk to the beach, and the room was very nice with a comfortable bed and excellent bathroom.

Great location, extremely comfortable beds, nice pool area and friendly staff. Provide use of beach beds and towels on south beach which was great! Highly recommend.

No main light in the room so was a little dark at times.

- Option with breakfast included would be nice - Very small bathroom makes it difficult to keep your cosmetics and other stuff around - Windows were pretty useless and a bad view from them, blinds didn't work properly. - Corridors in the hotel were pretty dark and a bit complicated, it wasn't nice to move around

The Hotel is on Ocean Drive, very close to the beach(2 minutes by walking) and all bars by walking. we stayed in the new building and our room was nicely decorated, we loved the marble bathroom. free bottle in the room and coffee maker(good lavazza one). free slipper and bathrobe was plus. up to 2 hour free bicycle rent. free bedchairx2 , beach towel and umbrella on the beach was useful and nice. Good value for money, very nice lobby area, nice rear garden, definitely come back again. helpful receptionist and owner

it was not cleanest hotel but nothing serious tbh, but need more thoroughly cleaning after each guest, pool size is small and more like a whirlpool than pool but there are bed chairs around you can sit. but these are small details and overall we satisfied it.

Some rooms a little dated. Superior rooms were nice. Would be good to have a bellman help with suitcases, for a 4 star is what you would expect
