Hotel Marine Plaza, Mumbai

Hotel is lovely with great character. Excellent location in Colaba. Breakfast is fantastic and rooms good size, clean and had everything we needed.

Food and drink in hotel is silly expensive. Old English pub on site just empty with no atmosphere likely due to high prices. Allamanda roof terrace with pool being largely advertised but there is just nothing there. Pool was lovely but only 3 sunbeds, no parasols for shelter and staff started noisily dragging tables around at 4pm to set up evening eating area. Bar on roof was never open. Such a shame as it could be an amazing roof top area. Asked 2 young girls on reception if they could check us into our flight home and print boarding passes as these are required to enter Indian airports. They were most unhelpful and said ‘ oh no we can’t help with that’ . Luckily a slightly older lady appeared and took over and sorted for us.

The room design was strange They kept a business table at the welcome of the room, and then the other section is the bedroom. It would have been more preferable and had better space utization if it was like a living room with a sofa.

Everything, the location(near everything and we stayd here to watch the cricket at wankhede stadium), the roofstop swimming pool and bar/restaurant that was open evenings(beautiful) with wonderful food Geoffreys pub at the ground floor! We dit not do breakfast at the hotel so was not in the main restaurant. The hotel went above and beyond with adding a TV channel to our room to watch the rugby world cup semi final that isnt in the regular list of channels, Geoffreys also stayd open till 03h00 for the guests to watch the rugby, although they whould put the sound on for the rugby...so we watched the second half in our room.

Almost nothing. The rooftop restaurants prices are real expensive! But worth the location and atmosphere in gold.

Very comfortable stay. I’ve been staying in hostels travelling so it’s nice to have something a bit more luxurious for time to time. It was great for the cricket as the Wankhede was a 10 minute walk. The staff were very accommodating and the facilities were great.

I'm a regular & this is the 1st time I experienced that the seats were blocked during g the breakfast for some guests which is very unusual & for almost an hour nobody turned up & some of the guest including me when we insisted for that spot which is facing the bay the staff would not let us...very disappointed 🤔 hope this was an aberration & not a norm

Great location and hospitality.

Staying on the 5th floor was great. However, other guests do not respect your privacy as they play loud music in the gym. Additionally, any work being done on the terrace like dragging tables and chairs can be clearly heard on the 5th floor.

Understanding of staff to shift is to non-smoking room on request.

They should mention on the website/partner aps about smoking policy.

The property was beautiful and exactly as advertised. We were upgraded to an executive suite upon check in and the staff in the reception, restaurant and doorman’s were absolutely friendly and helpful.

I was only disappointed that I could not use the pool facilities. Upon check in , the hotel was undergoing renovations on the rooftop and was closed to the guests. The next day , we arrived just after 5pm for shopping and asked the reception to allow us one hour at the pool and he would ask the manager but never got back to us. The hotel should advise guests in advance for planned maintenance so that we may look for alternate accommodation that we want to enjoy. We have paid an expensive rate to enjoy the facilities and make the most of the amenities, but however did not happen as planned. But everything else was exceptional and I would rate my stay 9/10.

The location is excellent. Right on marine drive with full view of the sea. Breakfast had a good spread and staff very helpfull throughout the property.

They should have more rooms with queen or king sized beds.

Lobby/Restaurant music is a bit too loud for my liking.

The hotel is really clean, the views are great. As a foreigner coming to India, I think the prices are pretty fair compared to other hotels which aren’t half as good as this one was. They give good discounts and the staff are really nice especially the cleaners who don’t fail to clean every day. It’s a really comfortable place. I also really love how the bathrooms are.

The food at Bayview was okay but I think it should have more options, especially international dishes. And a really minor issue since we came for medical purposes, harder (orthopedic) mattresses should be available, just incase a customer who prefers hard mattress needs it. But all in all, it’s a great place really.

i booked the hotel with breakfast but when i checked in they said that breakfast is not included.

They are nice staff. Only thing lobby toilet people are messing it very badly Rooms r best Awesome location Breakfast spread lools very small spaced but oooo.its marvellous. I liked them bcoz they are OPEN TO THE FACTCthat one cannot eat all at same time and need to fetch away parcels. They are ok with it very nicely. . Pls offer discounts tp room sevices also. Yes price is v v v high but its prime place n south bombay 5 star Fine lobby etc v small. But facilities n way bathroom is its real 5 star I loved thr thought id of 2 holding supports inside shower n proper bar soap holder They hv care system Food v tasty .. nvr ever had such full filled gobi paratha like Mplaza
