Good location, very friendly staff, clean and cozy!

No noise protection, and the windows letting cold air in so the room was cold.

Loved the decor of hotel and the location. Staff was super friendly! Loved the staff at Smile to Go also, and it was also great value for New York City.

I expected room to be small which was not a problem but wish the bed hadn’t been against the wall, made it hard for my husband to get out of bed. Also the lighting was a little dim.

Great location. Design. Music / ambiance. The staff were very helpful and welcoming.

The ridiculous tiny room minibar fridge (tinybar) The fact that there are no more than soaps at the bathroom (we weren’t prepared to bring body lotions for example…) so it was quite a bad surprise. Other than that- cool place!

Staff are friendly - I come here often now so I have struck up a friendly relationship with the staff. The location is great for me as I do a lot of meetings in mid-town, but you are close enough to cute neighbourhoods like Grammercy so it doesn't feel too "midtown". The hotel is super comfortable and cosy, if anything the lighting in the room is sometimes a little too cosy and it would be useful sometimes to be able to turn the lights up a little!

My only issue with this hotel is getting in and out the heavy front doors with luggage! I wish the doors were automatic.

I had a room in the 4th floor, facing the back of the hotel (not the street). The AC machines outside the building made too much noise (so I recommend taking at least the 6th floor or higher). The room was a bit cold as well, it seemed the AC was not working at the beginning

My only complaint was it could be noisy in the hallway. The door didn’t lock out much noise.

Close to East side, not far from Flatiron, have never stayed this far down Manhattan before which was nice for a change, easy to walk to most places and not far from subway station

Room was ready for us even though we arrived early. Concierge was very pleasant and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable with great craftsman furnishings! Bars were fun but a bit loud.

Restaurant closed too early.

There was no coffee

My room was good size, bathroom as well (Premium Queen Room). It was clean and had nearly everything I needed. It was also really quiet. Location was very good too. Great big tv plus super comfy bed.

They use too much plastic (no glasses in the room but you can ask at reception for one, unfortunately it is plastic; plastic water bottles - there should be an alternative water fountain to fill your own bottle for example). Fridge is super tiny.

The shower was really nice… esp. the water pressure - it was perfect. The bed was comfy!!!

It wasn’t the King room I was expecting… from the photos I’ve seen beforehand. The sink was tiny. Also, the placement of the outlet by the sink, i found it a little inconvenient? Otherwise, it was nice & compact. We tried to get room service from the phone in the room but, it kept making weird alarming sounds. We just ended up calling from our own iphones for a pick up. The room was described as soundproof. Personally, I didn’t think it was.

Perfect location. You can walk anywhere in Manhattan or catch a train. The hotel is beautiful, the lobby music is always amazing and everything from the coffee shop downstairs to the rooftop bar (and the lounge in between) is top notch. Staff is lovely - overall would 100% book again.

WiFi not secure

Not much noise protection. Person in the room next to me played their TV loud all night. Person upstairs played clubbing music for a few hours that made it hard to sleep without earplugs.

The existing reviews as to surly staff were unfounded. I look forward to staying in this hotel on my next trup.

I would like it if the hotel made coffee available in the morning.

Visitors won’t meet a finer staff anywhere. Pillows and mattresses aren’t the best, but the coffee downstairs will make almost make that up to you. I’d recommend it. I’ll be back. I understand the pillow situation is already being upgraded.
