Hotel Pod 39, New York

While booking the hotel on Booking.com I had selected room with a bunk bed. However, I was not given the room I saw on the website. Nonetheless the room allocated was good and satisfactory.

I liked the silence in the rooms and the hotel staff at reception was very helpful when they charged me an amount that I didn't understand. Also,the area where the hotel is located is very quiet and safe.

I didn't like the fact that I was overcharged more than I expected regarding the deposit that you have to pay in advance. When you book this hotel, booking doesn't warn you that it's $30 per night and $90 for reserving the room in advance. The whole amount that I was held by the hotel rose to 240+90 so I paid 1,170 as soon as I checked in. Three days after checking out they refunded the 240$ and on March 20th the other 90$.

Good location, close to Grand Central for the trains and subway. Clean, welcoming staff, small (which is in the name!) but well thought out. Great shower! Daily towel service, a safe, and a place to hang things. Luggage storage.

Easy check in/out. The lobby was warm and had a place to grab a drink.The room was clean and had the amenities that I required. It was located very close to where I needed to be early the next day. Great location.

Small but smart

Compact roomn with everything I needed, including feeling cozy.

Some of the guests were loud at very early times in the morning, but that's not the hotel's fault.

Beds are hard for my liking

The hotels’ location is perfect. It is located in the middle of manhattan where you can walk to anywhere around. It is also a few minutes away from the grand central station. Which is a very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Service was really great , everyone at the hotel was very helpful all the time and with great attitude . I love the space at the bar and at the table pool , even though rooms are small very nice though there is a cool space where to hung out to keep working or just chill , very great that space.

very nice hotel for toursits looking for a place to just sleep and travel throughout the entire day. The rooms are compact and contain exactly what you need as a solo traveler. Would highly recommend. The neightborhood is quiest and pretty safe, around 8 min walk from a subway station. The rooms are clean and offer cleaning each day if you put a sticker on your door.

The hallways are very compact and everything is designed with the color grey, so it makes a weird and not fun vibe.

Simple and clean. NYC is super expensive so this is a reasonable option

The staff were so helpful. They were very approachable and helped with directions, taxi services etc. Couldn’t thank them enough. The rooms are compact but very clean. Rooms were cleaned daily. Morning coffee was much appreciated.

Rooms are really small. You can barely move if there are two people with luggage. I also did lot like the fact that there is only a glass dividing the "room" and the bathroom (somebody on the top bunk bed can see inside the bathroom).

USB phone charger in the room was not working

Central location but away from touristy stuff. Nice downstairs lounge room with pool table, ping pong table. Free walking tours by the hotel!
