Excellent location, limited comfort, mediocre food
The location is great. The lobby/coffee area is very pleasant and cozy
The pastries for breakfast are not the best quality. It should be easy to find better croissants in New York.

Very nice stay
I liked the location of the hotel. Breakfast was good, next time it would be nice to have eggs and ham instead of pastry’s.
I loved the fireplace, sitting there was very relaxing and comfortable.

Great staff, very comfy beds, excellent location. Really enjoyed our stay.
Great to have breakfast and decent variety. Location of the hotel was perfect and was very good to be able to get free coffee in the lounge for residents.
Occasionally sticky tables in the restaurant.. probably honey!
Sometimes we got flannels, sometimes not and one day we didn't get a bathmat when the room was made up but it wasn't a big issue. Also, the plug in the bathroom stopped working about half way through our stay but there were others in the bedroom that could be used.

Overall a great stay for a single traveler.
The breakfast included was a nice feature that I enjoyed. The fireplace/entry area is a nice place to sit and have a drink or coffee.
The rooms are extremely small. I was traveling alone so it was fine but not sure I would choose this hotel for two people.

Perfect for single travelers-Great little boutique hotel in a great location
Great location. Very cute and wonderful ambiance. The staff is friendly. Breakfast included is great. Lively lobby. Loved having big windows in the room.
Some don't like how small the rooms are, though as a solo traveler it was no problem.

Amazing hidden Gem that takes you back!
The hotel was an amazing blast from the past - cozy, retro, and in a perfect location if you want to be near Greenwich village, Tribeca, and the NYU area.
The only complaint is that the breakfast really didn't offer anything unique and that the coffee was sub-par.

Storage in the room we stayed is was just about enough but we had fairly small suitcases. No in-room coffee/tea making facilities (that’s probably unusual in America). In-room snacks and mini bar is all really expensive.

Despite small room & no tissues, even with rain outside, atmospheric lobby&good service was inviting
The staff was excellent-courteous, friendly, responsive and helpful. I would say that the value is worth the cost. The room is maintained well and cleaned. But it's very small even for one; and I believe that I had the 2nd smallest one. I don't know how two people could manage in my room size.
Very comfortable lobby, fireplace going and excellent service for food and drinks right there.
Complimentary breakfast was generous and appetizing.
My room was too small for my comfort;No place to lay my suitcase open. In past visits I could set it inside the armoire. There's still room for hanging clothes but the contents otherwise are now the Pay Bar, including bottled water! On my first visit, ginger ale was available free of charge; on the next year no ginger ale but bottled water was via courtesy. This year, no water You have to go downstairs to the bar to get a free glass of water.Toiletries were fine except for NO BOX Of TISSUES which I needed and consider essential to a hotel room. No desk is ok but I'd like to have a chair; no room for even that unless maybe if they removed the decorative pottery piece. Also, noisy outside my window + no view.
