the patio/balcony was a nice evening after a night out, just grab a blanket and a drink and your set! also the entry was amazing and the room at the end of the hall was a bonus even though it sounds like it could be a horror movie it’s the complete opposite.

Our terrace was nice, even though it felt like it could use some upgrades. Our floor had "A room at the end of the hall" with some snacks and a coffee machine which was nice. Nothin fancy, but it was something.
Bathroom could have a felt a little fancier, as well as the terrace.

A relatively good money for value hotel to stay at.
The location was good, staff was friendly and the hotel had good character and decor.
The wifi was ridiculously slow, felt like dial up and the bed was not very comfortable.

Good connection to public transport to explore Portöand.
Level of service has been cut due
to corona to a significantly lower level than

It was a charming old hotel in a good location with a very cozy and comfortable room.
Room (King corner) was very nice and cozy. The bed was amazing and very comfortable. Bathroom was charming. I appreciated the decor knowing the hotel is quite old.
No housekeeping services due to limited staff, limited refrigerator mini bar, noise from the metro train and the loud bar that turns into a night club on weekends. That was a turn off for me for future visits despite the very charming hotel and room.

Fabulous
Great hotel with the long history, centrally located, very comfortable big (but cozy) room with the fireplace (!), big bathroom, huge and comfortable bed.
We loved the restaurant onsite and had fund exploring the premises and reading facts about the history, including checking the diary elevator in Portland located inside the hotel building.
We had problems with the valet parking. We requested our car to be ready at 6am, both times it was not there and at the check out we had to wait for 40 min, as the receptionist couldn’t reach the valet guys.. just feel that 50 USD was not worth for this service…

Good, but not a 5-star experience
Room was lovely and bed was comfortable. Beautiful building in the center of town.
Carpets in the room need replacing, bathrooms need updating. Terrace/seating was dirty, other guests kept walking in to take pictures of the view (some of them with big lens cameras!) because there is a walkway connecting the terraces. Management should make it clear that guests deserve their privacy. Other guests should be considerate.
Big party on one of the days. Wedding guests took over the lobby and lift and we could not get up to our room.
Staff (apart from the manager) were mostly indifferent. Check-in did not feel warm and was rushed (we were the only ones there), queries were shrugged off or directed to another member of staff.
Rooms were only cleaned on the last day, after having stayed there for 3 nights already.
Wish I could give this a higher score but I have to be honest.

if you stay for more than one night you need to ask them to make up your room, which is normally only done every three days
