Hotel Ovolo 1888 Darling Harbour, Sydney

Bed & pillows excellent. Room small but exceedingly well organized. Location was great. The best meal on our holiday in NSW. Every staff member exceptional. Would recommend and stay again.

Function in bar made restuarant very noisy. but food made up for it.

The hotel had a lovely restaurant and lobby. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. I was there for my 40th birthday and they gifted me a handmade card and bottle of wine which was a nice touch. The room had personality and I liked the décor. Decent tram connection to the city and other transit services. Nice and quiet overall.

On our final night the air-conditioning broke. This was a problem because we were on the top floor of a renovated warehouse, in December, and boy was it was hot! However we reached an agreement with the staff and were compensated. Also, location is a bit 50/50. There's a good tram stop nearby but you need two trams to get to most places.

The staff were very friendly and the industrial look of the property.

For the price of the property, there were leaks in the roof with caution signs in the hallway, while I applause OHS practices this wasn’t a great look outside my room.

It was a beautiful stay but the parking was incomprehensibly expensive and I didn't get much advice or help regarding the parking when I arrived late by myself. Luckily I managed to find some on street parking a couple of blocks away, but I think this was very unusual - there were about 4 spots.

Remote control missing, bar fridge was not cold and no alcohol. Went to get drinks at the bar and it was closed for stocktake. Other Ovolo places I’ve been has had a full mini bar. Bed rolled around.

This is yet another building were they have spent a lot of time and money bring it back from the good old days and they have done an amazing job. Leaving enough so you know you are in an old wool store but also making it comfortable and relaxing. Free lolly bar now that is a first and yes we used it.

Can not find anything to put in here as the stay was well above what was expected, only bad point and it would be picking would be the size of the rooms which are on the smaller size (well ours was) but it didn't not take away from the experience.

Everything! The look & vibe of the place, the awesome room we stayed in, the breakfast was amazing & my favourite was the lolly buffet in the reception area!

This is well located tucked behind Darling Harbour - it's a easy walk through the wilsons car park and you are directly in the Harbour area. The rooms are very clean and comfortable as we had the loft room. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The free mini bar in the rooms is a nice touch.

The hotel was incredibly clean and the decor was really stylish. The rooms were spacious and the customer service from all the staff was the best I’ve ever encountered. It was an absolutely outstanding experience and I highly recommend The Woolstore 1888 to anyone holidaying in Sydney.

I couldn’t fault anything about it.

Fabulous room with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Perfect location for working at the ICC during a Trade Fair. Easy and quick access to Darling Harbour. The room was smallish, but had everything I needed. Perfect for one or two people if you aren't spending your days in the room. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Will book again for next year and have already recommended the hotel to others.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the restaurant downstairs was great and the atmosphere lively. very close to the city.

Good location if you want quick access to Darling Harbour via Pyrmont Bridge. The reception area looks great and trendy. The room was clean and the wifi worked well. We had a very nice Valentine's Day dinner at the hotel's restaurant Mister Percy. Oh and we enjoyed the free Haribos!

Our room was really very small and didn't quite match the fashionable flair of the reception area. Thankfully we were out and about most of our time in Sydney, so in the end, it wasn't really a big deal.

There was a much more generous minibar on my previous stay here. I was particularly disappointed that the bar/restaurant in the lobby of the hotel closed at 9.30pm on a Friday night. There are no other food venues in close proximity. We came back after a show at Darling Harbour hoping for a night cap but all we got was free lollies. Not even room service. I think the hotel can do better than this for it's clients, particularly at the room prices charged. At least keep the bar and bar snacks going until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

The air in the room became very moist after having a shower and this stayed for the entire 2 days that we stayed there. The bed was quite uncomfortable as we could feel the metal through the mattress.

The room was excellent with a comfortable bed. The conversion of rhein historic warehouse was well done and left an interesting interior with the original wooden supports exposed.

Unfortunately our room was located above the common area where music was played when the restaurant was open and the sound insulation was not sufficient to completely block out the noise. At times a bit irritating. Breakfast was dissapointing, very pretentious and limited in choice,
