Fairmont Royal York Hotel, Toronto

Room was way too warm no matter how cold we set the temp.

Breakfast offerings were exceptional.

Room service vegetable pizza was disgusting. Raw vegetables and under cooked crust. Tomato sauce was more like tomato soup.

Beautiful,clean and very helpful staff.

Pillows were soft but otherwise great.

The building and its historic features. That was the main attraction for me. Loved the paintings of Toronto in the rooms. Staff went above and beyond. They got me on the floor I asked for with a view of union station. The staff said good morning and smiled at the guests. Really nice people working at the hotel.

There are some odd smells. There is a carpeted staircase around the lobby that smells very strongly of body odour. My room had an undesirable swampy smell. Might be the water system. A little over priced.

The room was a great size. Bed was good. Location also was perfect for what we needed.

The view was bad. We had the worst meal ever at the bar in the main lobby. The steak sandwich was nearly inedible, undercooked and super tough meat. For the price it should have been much better. If we had more time I would have complained about the meal.

The bed, mattress to pillows and linens were outstanding. We'd buy them if available! The whole room, seperate living area and large closet was awesome. The staff was wonderful. Valet persons really hustled during a very busy time.

The bathroom would benefit from a shelf or place to put our toiletries and have lighting suitable for make-up but it was fine...it's a historic hotel so understand bathroom sizes may be smaller. Getting complimentary water, just like the coffee pods each day would be a nice perk.

Location location…especially near the holiday season the hotel gives you downtown Toronto holiday vibes. This stay was a gift for my niece along with tickets to the theatre and she loved the entire experience.

The lobby bar did not stay open late. After dinner and show you find yourself coming back to the hotel a bit late in the evening and it was a bit of a let down that the bar was closing and we were turned away.

Very very festive for Christmas which made it a really enjoyable stay

I was expecting the rooms to be a bit nicer than what they were.. Bathrooms could do with modernising, shower pressure not great at all.

Location was perfect and the room was comfortable. Bathroom could have been a little larger but all and all it was an enjoyable stay.

Beautiful lobby!

Facilities under construction so could not use. There should have been bathrobes in the room but were not there. Drainage issue in the shower. Was fixed by staff.

I very much liked that I could control the temperature of the room. Also I found the staff super friendly and helpful. It was great that I had so many options for television channels. Even though I did not use the fitness facility, I liked that I had the option.

When I came to check-in the line was extremely long. It took about 35 minutes to get up to the desk. At the desk the staff did apologize which I appreciated.

It was a very clean and organized place.

I didn't like the antisemitic antifa protest that was going on on Sunday accross the street making it difficult for me to leave. I so glad the Canadian Federal and Ontario Goverments supports this violence

Room was comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. On site restaurant was perfect for breakfast.

View wasn’t great. Elevator system was confusing. Tired to take other elevators and they wouldn’t go to my floor, had to get off in the lobby and take alternative ones.

Bell service staff seemed unhappy when I gave him tip. He just left after getting tip, not even say thank you or smile at all.

Unbeatable location with great views in the heart of major fan action in Toronto.

Could be a slightly more updated style of room.

The Royal Fairmont, is a beautiful hotel with great facilities. The rooms are spacious, with a good bed and bathroom. The mini fridge is filled to the max, but would recommend the cocktails in the bar 😄! Simply said a very classy hotel! And if you like the Raptors or the Leafs, the ScotiaBank Arena is 2 minutes away, just like a lot of brewery's and (sports)bars. Was the second time we've stayed there.

I enjoyed the pool & hot tub very much. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The Library Bar was wonderful - food and service excellent.

It seemed that there should have been complimentary bottled water and there wasn’t. The box spring cover was ragged & torn. It would have been helpful having directions for the Nespresso machine.
