Perfect location in walking distance from many attractions. The hotel design was warm and inviting as was the staff. Wish I got to explore the speakeasy and rooftop bar, so looking forward to going back in better weather and without kids to get the fuller experience of the hotel. Also, awesome pet policy! All felt truly welcome!

Room only had one window and room sizes are overstated

This is a gem of a hotel. Our room was clean, well lit, and provided just enough space for a comfortable downtime between activities while visiting DC. Each room has a small selection of books and vinyl records for amusement. The bathroom toiletries were top quality and delightfully scented (you'll be hooked). The lobby connects to a cozy lounge and library, which was a neat perk, and made for a great place to drink a coffee and catch up on emails. Plus, there is a speakeasy adjacent to the library that opens in the evenings if you'd like something stronger than coffee!

The adjoining restaurant and cafe didn't quite meet expectations - so you sacrifice a bit of quality for convenience. Also, though we have no issue with the inclusive artwork and marketing (pro LBQTQIA+ and BIPOC), I recognize that this might be a turn-off for some folks. It flows perfectly well with the space, but others may feel affronted based on their personal/political beliefs.

This gem has so much to offer in addition to location. There are many wellness opportunities as well as music, fun and an all around good vibe. Great staff!

It's a well-done refurbished hotel, but something that can't be fixed are the hallways and room structure. I'll stay there again and again, but the hallways definitely look like old college dorms and that kind of sticks with you :)

Perfect location, within walking distance of most major sights. Well kept decoration, plenty of space in the rooms.

Great location just a few minutes from the conference center. Also at a walking distance (30 min) from the National Mall.

There is no room service and the restaurant in the hotel was closed on Sunday.

The place had a ton of charisma, was in a perfect location (close to the convention center where I had a work event), was clean, comfortable, everything! The food and drink options were excellent as well - you must check out Allegory, the cocktail bar in the hotel - it’s world-class.

If I absolutely had to point out one thing, it would be that I could hear the street even with the windows closed. You get used to it, especially since it’s not too noisy after around 10pm

I LOVED EVERYTHING! The speakeasy and the art, the social consciousness. I think my favorite was having a record player in my room and a lots of records to chose from. For the first time, I actually wanted to go hang out in my room, and the bar. Seriously incredible. Plus perfect location for convention center. Thank you

This hotel is everything and more! From the moment I walked in, it felt like such a vibe and super-inclusive - from the artwork, bathrooms, movie screenings, and music selections. The rooms give you a homey vintage vibe with a splash of modern touches. I also appreciated the coworking and outdoor seating for times that I needed to get some work done. There was a Halloween party at the rooftop bar lounge that wasn't really my vibe (it was definitely more club-like) but if that's your thing, you will enjoy it. There was also a speakeasy which was more chill and laid back. In the library area, there was a DJ that also played really good music. They do have restaurants on-site. I didn't eat much at either place, but I did enjoy the few food items I did select and the outdoor seating. One thing to note about the restaurants, is I feel like the food menu is limited. Other than that I really didn't have to leave the hotel unless I just wanted to explore the area. The location is decent depending on what part of town, you are trying to get too. I took the scooters or rode a bike to most places that weren't within walking distance. I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to DC.

The only thing I would say I didn't like is how cold the hallways are on each of the floors. Other than that there wasn't much that I didn't like.

Hip, boutique hotel on tree lined street in downtown area. Nice coffe shop and bar on site. Nice we-work style "workshop" area on site too. Slow to get our room ready (one hour late) but held our bags for free at early check in and also after we checked out until our flight. Safe friendly area right beside franklin park. Short walk to blue line metro. In room fridge (had to figure out how to plug it in), retro record player in room too, nice shower and sink area. DJ in hotel lobby. Fun, i'ddo it again!
